Mortal men claim to be philosophical 
Quoting second hand Nietzsche is affordable
Dark corners and cold college hallways
Dank fields that stretch on for days
But after five locations and a view
There's not much left for you to lose
Food for the birds when morning comes 
Eliot's wasteland feels more like home. 

What roots that touch, what branches grow?
I cannot say for only you know
This melancholic verse that now fills my ears
Will stalk my path in the coming years
