You want to be a hero
Villain, victim all at once
That's not the way it works
You want to tell a story
Recreating movie scenes
But you're not playing the lead
We're not writing pages
We're just living lives
And you
You make it harder
I'd rather be nothing
Than play your twisted game
You'd rather they spat at you
Than not know your name
You want to be hated
If it leads to fame
And that's where we differ
You're kind of a loser
And you kind of always were
But when this kind of situation
Does occur
Breaks my heart a little
Tiny crack right down the middle
Cause I always believed you were more
Tried to let you win
But you've dug yourself in
Good luck getting out
I'm not lending a hand
This time around
It's clear to me that you're
Not as strong as it seems
You're playing make believe
You paint yourself a monster
So you don't have to be
What you really are
You bare your teeth instead of fading away
But you, you're just a coward
I'd rather be nothing
Than play your twisted game
You'd rather they spat at you
Than not know your name
You want to be hated
If it leads to fame
And that's where we differ
You're kind of a loser
And you kind of always were
But when this kind of situation
Does occur
Breaks my heart a little
Tiny crack right down the middle
Cause I always believed you were more
Tried to let you win
But you've dug yourself in
Good luck getting out
I'm not lending a hand
This time around
You obsess over messes
That you made yourself
Making something of nothing
Just so you're not boring
Can't you look for light
Coming in through the door
Can't you find peace
Trouble's passed, don't look for more
Can't you just try
Fill the void you're looking for
Best of luck, I don't need you
Anymore
You're kind of a loser
And you kind of always were
But when this kind of situation
Does occur
Breaks my heart a little
Tiny crack right down the middle
Cause I always believed you were more
Tried to let you win
But you've dug yourself in
Good luck getting out
I'm not lending a hand
This time around
This time around
This time around
I'm not lending a hand
This time around
