Long way back, where I came from
I don't know if there's anything left
Unfortunately everything disappears
When eternal isn't real
I've been searching for it a lifetime
Something higher than horizon
Like billions of stars where nothing's found
I return to the old

Like a lighthouse I shined
But everyone just passed by
How could I feel so lonely
When I was all surrounded
For land I was searching
But only mirages I saw
Too far away
My higher than horizon lied

Underneath the surface
We'll all eventually end up
All the dead and gone, underwater
We wake up from our dream
Unplugged from the real world
What's even real anymore?
Only misunderstood by everyone
I'm still living my life

Like a lighthouse I shined
But everyone just passed by
How could I feel so lonely
When I was all surrounded
All my progress below the surface
Reality isn't a dream
Unreachable
My higher than horizon was

Foggy and empty my future looks
All my people below the surface
Shining my light to see
Where is my ship taking me
I want to feel alive again and
Escape this meaningless state of mind
Is this reality really the real?
Is this what it feels to be real?

And what is pure...
What is real...
Nobody knows...
What is pure...
And what is real
We'll never know...

The sea melts to the blue sky
While I watch our world lie
The wind is gone, the journey is done
While I see my people die
What's there to live for
No land, nothing real
I don't see a reason to try and
Get to know you any better

Why did you even call me
What do you want from me
If you're only going to run away
Just do it now and let me be
Nobody cares
About your stupid lies
You are not real, I'm not here
Even the truth feels artificial

Light at the end of the tunnel
My future lies ahead
It's my time to lift myself up
From this mess I've caused
Maybe life isn't about meaning
We've all got our reasons
How do you even define something
That isn't real?

I Shined my light to see
Where my ship was taking me
I wanted to feel alive again and
Escape that meaningless state of mind
But reality did not make me

The truth isn't real
And we're all trapped inside of it
Trying to make artificial meanings
To stay here and make progress
Everything already below the surface
Our world is dead
Why shouldn't we make our artificial utopias real?
At least in our dreams
