Ain't been no red rose or blue violet poetry spitting over here
Ya see this poetry was written in red blood over blue skies by our internal ears
Believe it or not we writing what He feels
Believe it or not we writing what His Spirit reveals

How does it feel to be Gods poet
Like an open vessels waiting to be poured in

People take this pen game for laughs
Like we really up here joking
Not knowing
That our ears were chosen and even in the late hours we can't ignore it
So we grab the pen and yield to the stroke of it
Knowing that we can't chose our words instead our words have to be chosen
Cause when you God's poet people tend to listen to you open

We're Chosen
Yet unnoticed
Until He chooses our time of exposure
Uncertainty of where each poem is going until we've gotten there and realize that it's over
Spitting in ignorance not knowing if anyone will get this
If only for one soul is His motto
But doing for the 99 could be tempting

We're constantly
Practicing consistency with humility
In the consciousness that God rejects the proud
Hearing the praises of the people
Like water on a ducks back
Let it on flow down
To the ground
Where we were when we were writing
Down to the ground where we were when we were rehearsing and reciting
Down to the ground where we were when we found our pens
Down to the ground where we were when we saw the light out of darkness and He called us in

How does it feel to be God's poet

Not knowing that these words were chosen
To penetrate through hard hearted and to heal the hearts that are broken
Not knowing that as we write what to recite the spiritual warfare is approaching
Telling us these words should be silenced
While knowing
That these words were given to us to be spoken
As seeds of life and by His Spirit are the growth of them

Knowing
As God's poets
People tend to listen to us open
So the power in our tongue is to spit life to the people
So the seeds of life will grow in them
Cause when you God's poet
You understand when it comes to God's people it ain't no jokes with Him
