Cheering could be heard from both sides
Right away the rookies were almost washed over
Hanging on for dear life
As the mighty Niagara Roared
The Captain said "come on men don't let go!"

They made it to the Whirlpool
The captain grabbed the wheel again
Devils Hole Rapids.,,,, I see you now!
Captain Robertson held a steady course
Thru the center of the rapids
They came out the other side!
Lucky to be alive!
However,,,,,, the Captain was a changed man
