Prosperity at its finest
Consumption at a high
They got antibiotics, not a virus
Creativity was the supply
Fashion on point
Dress shirts
Dress skirts
What a decade of beauty
A time to get comfortable
People flying, people driving, provided with motion pictures
And the enchanting Babe Ruth
Let's get on the steamboat
Chill with the mouse
Whistle a note or two
Did you know that the Great Depression didn't happen until like the end of the 1920s
The Roaring Twenties was a time of prosperity, not depression
I don't know why people were calling the 2020s the second Roaring Twenties
I was one of them
Stay in school kids
I'm an entertainer of the decade
I just needed to debunk that juxtaposition
A tool ironically embraced by artists at the time
The 1920s got that widespread impact
But I guess prosperity comes to an end at some point
The stock market just had to disappoint
Ended the decade on a bad note
Too bad antibiotics weren't an antidote for that
At least the mouse had a future for himself
And that's how you explain the Roaring Twenties
Not that hard
You know
Imma eat
