Tom Sawyer

Thomas Sawyer () is the titular character of the Mark Twain novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876). He appears in three other novels by Twain: Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1884), Tom Sawyer Abroad (1894), and Tom Sawyer, Detective (1896). Sawyer also appears in at least three unfinished Twain works, Huck and Tom Among the Indians, Schoolhouse Hill, and Tom Sawyer's Conspiracy. While all three uncompleted works were posthumously published, only Tom Sawyer's Conspiracy has a complete plot, as Twain abandoned the other two works after finishing only a few chapters. It is set in the 1840s in the Mississippi. more »

Palace of Alexandria, the future's caught on fire
Middle of the desert, parties ceasing to retire
They can't take not one step, no one being cautious
Gut-wrenching nauseas, got burdens on the conscious
Bomb, supersonic, logic caught up in the faucet
Chamber hyperbolic, missiles gunning for your pockets
No chance of knowledge, saliva dripping from the college
No chance of living, good's a problem in the noggin
Please calm the f*ck down, please step back inside
Please say the right prayers, get your son baptized
I've seen some bad views, seen myself capsize
Mind of a white male, shoots up the damn ride

Wake up I'm just fine, restarts at nighttime
My thoughts in daylight adjacent to a pipeline
God on my right side, 'Luc on my left arm
Split up in two halves, plasticity like some damn napalm
I just say they're dead wrong, my psyche just disagrees
Downtown, catching strange looks, brain's feeling like Swiss cheese
My mind's on the burning books, Alexandria 48 BC
My mind's on the burning books, Alexandria 48 BC

And I step out
Because I'm feeling off, because I'm feeling off
Because I'm feeling off, and I'm gettin lost
And I'm gettin lost, and I'm gettin lost
About who's the boss, about who's the boss
About who's the boss, Like where is God?
He's been dead and I'm wide awake
It's time to take my brain over for f*ck's sake
