I drift on a cloud made of promises
Promises so hollow it doesn't make any common sense
So many fall off I guess they don't know what a harness is
I gather my thoughts just like I gather when the harvest hits
Finding poison in places where we don't think bout the consequence

Keep it at bay
We gravitate toward unconsciousness
But these days I tend to gravitate to where the comma is
It's quite rare
We stare at reflections of who we used to be
I don't get used to life it gets used to me
People giving glares to me but say they're pursuing the peace

When I see masses spitting in my eye
Like a plane without fuel I know that joint won't fly
In my airspace

Like tanks on the warpath
Bathing in these waters is a very lukewarm bath

It's not the pain that worries me the most

Gang violence rampant on our streets
And I'm praying to the good Lord above
Help us rid of all the hate and help us emanate love
Terrible problems
How do we solve em?
I feel like I'm wasting my time
We're constantly bitching
But nobody listens
So why should I feel so inclined?
To try to make peace
When nobody believes in it
Even though I think we'd thrive
People keep knocking
So imma keep rocking the mic
Til the day I die

I switch up the whole mood
In the room where we at
Held together with glue
Which I am I admit it
Just a fact that I knew
All y'all are so focused on stopping my breakthrough
We get jealous
It's such an ugly emotion
I stay zealous

But at least I can see when I'm tripping

I ain't afraid to testify when I'm in it
I mean it's technically none of my business but as God as my witness

With all of these
