Some families for their holidays might go to Disney Land, 
Some families take a trip abroad in search of sun and sea and sand, 
But my Mum and Dad decided that the thing that we would do, 
Is take a trip across Europe on two bicycles made for two.
And now we’re going Tandem Riding, 
my Mum my Dad my Brother and me, 
We’re tandem riding, we’re taking our bikes across the sea, 
We’ll pedal through the forest and across the mountain range, 
My friends all think our holiday sounds strange. 
We cycle across Austria then on to Germany, 
My Brother my Mum on one bike, the other my Dad and me, 
We carry everything we need who wants a posh hotel, 
A roll mat and a sleeping bag and a tent does just as well.
And now we’re going Tandem Riding, 
my Mum my Dad my Brother and me, 
We’re tandem riding, we’re taking our bikes across the sea, 
We’ll pedal through the forest and across the mountain range, 
My friends all think our holiday sounds strange. 
Now we’re speeding down the mountain going faster all the time, 
Checking our speed 37 miles an hour!
World whizzing by, oh what a thrill, 
Dad shouts from the front ‘for god’s sake keep still’!
Every single day brings a new site to see, 
And when my head hits the pillow I always fall asleep, 
Every night and we cycle on the right of the road, 
People always pointing at us everywhere we go, 
I guess they’re wondering if our family is insane, 
But when anybody asks us all we can do is explain,
Now we’re going Tandem Riding, 
My Mum my Dad my Brother and me, 
We’re tandem riding, we’re taking our bikes across the sea, 
We’re tandem Riding, my Mum my Dad my Brother and me, 
We’re tandem riding, on Switzerland, France and Germany, 
We’re tandem Riding, my Mum my Dad my Brother and me, 
There’s no place I would rather be.
