Drew Cole

A soulful vocalist with an extensive inventory of musical talents, Drew Cole, was born in Seattle, WA in the seminal days of grunge. He reached the glaring neon glow of Los Angeles via a quiet town in Connecticut. The singer-songwriter’s influences are as varied and eclectic as the states he has lived in. After his father introduced him to the guitar at age 11, Cole found early inspiration in The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and The Black Crowes. We used to talk so much
Until the nighttime turned to day
We got a little drunk but it’s okay
We were stupid kids
Yea we used to smoke too much
In your dad’s car in the driveway
We said it made the bad thoughts go away
But they never did

We were the hometown heroes back in 2009
Thought we were superheroes but we couldn’t fly
Lookin’ at yearbook photos wishing I could rewind
To be the hometown heroes
One more time

Now we don’t talk so much
Cuz I’m a few thousand miles away
Breaking my bones just to get paid
Ain’t that some shit
F*ck I still smoke too much
Driving in my car on the highway
Listening to mixtapes that you made
When we were kids

We were the hometown heroes back in 2009
Thought we were superheroes but we couldn’t fly
Lookin’ at yearbook photos wishing I could rewind
To be the hometown heroes
One more time

We were the hometown heroes
We were the hometown heroes

We were the hometown heroes back in 2009
Thought we were superheroes but we couldn’t fly
Lookin’ at yearbook photos wishing I could rewind
To be the hometown heroes
One more time
