As if I was living in a movie disaster
I'm living my life of sorrows and trials
My mind is backwards, such denial

I'm having a hard time holding on
Holding on to the fact that you let go

Or saving us from that plan we had penciled
We wrote memories I will never forget
For this chapter in our book, no regrets
From the church walks to the house talks
From the beach trips to the music thoughts
I'm not only working through this heartbreak
I'm working on breaking a comfortable habit
A habit so easy, so loving, so caring
Only you understand what I am here sharing
It hurts knowing that you have found someone for you
It hurts knowing that I am good without you
It hurts knowing that I am getting better
It hurts knowing this won't last forever

Now it's time to let go
So the past doesn't keep me prisoner
Accepting all that has happened
Being grateful for every moment
I'm just living in another season
A season with so many thoughts
My mind goes back and forth

So, why am I still fighting and crying
I guess I'm in love with who you use to be
I don't hate you, that's such a strong word
The pain is enough to describe what is heard
But, I gotta ask the question for me
Is it even possible to go back to what we use to be
I'm counting the days that we don't talk
Just to see if I am trusting my walk
But, I still want to tell you about my days
Especially the good things, you'd be amazed
I've been pouring my heart out into my music
Performing and writing, you already knew that
Lost my best friend, thinking it's the end
Is it the real end? Feels like the real end

If we ever meet up down the road
Know it's God's plan about to unfold
The blessing will shine through the storm
Bringing those miracles to their form
I don't know if this is true to you
This is the hardest thing I've ever been through
Sadly, not sadly I'm thinking of you
When you, I hurt, that'll always be true

The hurt, the pain, the want for more

Spinning in circles and staying on beat
We moved to the unknown, taking on a fresh tone
Sitting here waiting for you to call me on my cell phone
I'm done chasing, begging, hoping for something
Maybe another happy mistake is coming
Destroyed me, broke me, trust got shattered
Does this picture I'm painting really even matter
Well here I go, staining this canvas
I really hope you do not misunderstand this
