Othello

Othello (The Tragedy of Othello, the Moor of Venice) is a tragedy by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written in 1603. It is based on the story Un Capitano Moro ("A Moorish Captain") by Cinthio, a disciple of Boccaccio, first published in 1565. The story revolves around its two central characters: Othello, a Moorish general in the Venetian army and his unfaithful ensign, Iago. Given its varied and enduring themes of racism, love, jealousy, betrayal, revenge and repentance, Othello is still often performed in professional and community theatre alike, and has been the source for numerous operatic, film, and literary adaptations. more »

Tell my mom and my sis
My whole fam I'm okay yeah
Tell my friends I'm okay yeah
Tell God
Tell God
Tell God I'm okay yeah
Tell myself I'm okay yeah
But till then I just gotta get
Okay yeah

Been 3 years since I left home don't think I'm coming back
I say I'm chasing dreams
They say have fun with that
I'm tired of these liars wires pulling on desire
Growing tighter as I hit the fire
Dire that I don't relapse
Going back to black I capped my raps and hit the mat
And matter fact I think I lost myself while tryna build it back
Now I can't even call my dad without feelin a little said
Cuz I know mom the rest the fam
Been wondering where the hell I'm at
Like damn
But down the road less traveled where I choose to be
Keep myself from unraveling when I see foolery
But none of that shit new to me
Still I bought some jewelry
To flex up on my feed
Cuz know what they'll say when I'm truly me
I'm sorry if I've grown a little distant
Just know I'm still listening
I've been struggling to turn the page another day
But in the end they say that good things take a bit of time
Yeah I'm no different I'm just hoping that you'll give me mine
