And the crowd that was standing by was just as shocked as me
'Cause how could this wretched sinner host this pure and holy man
But when Jesus looked at me He saw a son of Abraham
And that night as He talked oh I started to believe that
If there was a Messiah then this surely would be Him

Only the Messiah could bring salvation to a thief
