Thousands & thousands of previous rivers on the sun
What can be said of the light that time omits
Who will cherish this light if it is let go of into the void
To float forever & ever

I sit under this oak tree & hopefully smoke in peace real calmly
The night moves through as though a projection from things unseen
Has made its way to my oculus like former lakes on the sun now bring heat
I walk through the streets as the streets walk through me
I'm just killing time, if it was said in the right dimension of mind
Only one of us is dead & i wouldn't have to mention at all in a rhyme
Cause i want this city to be more than a shadow on a wall
When hatred is broadcast over despicable airwaves
The sickness becomes cyclical
When daggers fall on the backs of those who've held the line
You can bet your ass the fall of rome was depicted in scriptures sent from poet's
Who couldn't save their breath from the pursuit of killing time
Breath being the miracle through which the spirit moves
I got nothing to lose & nothing to prove
Except to past versions of myself standing in my shoes
Decades from now
I call on the creator in this theatre of illusion

Time make man, man make rhyme
Time take stand, man is divine
Fight for your right to party
Dance the rhythm of the universe
These days i'm gassed, what would you do
Feeling the light of ages past move through you

If after my death the powers that be want to transform me
Into other forms which i did not mandate myself
I pray to father sky you the listener won't be bothered by misunderstandings
Of those who carry their ignorance on their faces
I only hope to leave no trace
Except my word my bond with the spirit world
An offering to the unseen hands carrying my name to the next avenue of ascension
I read eyes and street signs
Magazines and books to speak life
With so much death around us, what else could i do but speak life

I live in this narrow bed of flesh

Possibility is so real to me
Every word is an arrow cast, into the sky where sparrow's last song
Is like my first word, when the trumpet is blown
Let it be known the truth of being is what i thirst for
To remain connected to that child dwelling within
After a while it's just g-d spelling her names backwards
As i stand in these mirrors of vanity hoping to capture a bit of a peace of mind
Killing time has never been a useful pursuit to savor
Until i did it with my tears falling from heavenly clouds
Raining down on unusual fruits of my labor
