Magic Man

"Magic Man" is a song by the American rock band Heart. The single was released in Canada in July 1975, and in America in 1976, as the second single from the band's debut album, Dreamboat Annie. Written and composed by Ann and Nancy Wilson, the song is sung from the viewpoint of a young girl who is being seduced by an older man (referred to as a Magic Man), much to the chagrin of her mother, who calls and begs the girl to come home. In an interview, Ann Wilson revealed that the "Magic Man" was her then boyfriend, band manager Michael Fisher, and that part of the song was an autobiographical tale of the beginnings of their relationship."Magic Man" became Heart's first Top 10 hit in the United States, peaking at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. more »

This war of peace and my heart won't stop
If that's the way then am sitting down
And the pain of sin is real insane
But whose to blame is my freaking name
Am done being on the floor
It was cold but now it's warm
And am done seeking applauds
It was fun but now it's odd I swear am sober
I swear to God am freaking sober
Am done being on the floor
It was cold but now it's warm
And am done seeking applauds
It was fun but now it's odd I swear am sober
I swear to God am freaking sober
And ohhoooo
I've learned to grow
And I now I know-oo, yeah
Without you I'll fall
And ohhoooo
I've learned to grow
And I now I know-oo yeah
Without you I'll fall
Healing myself from the pain
Soaking myself in the rain
Mayne I can't take all this shame
Why don't I feel the same
It's like am falling deep inside myself
Moments moving back and forth trying to find myself
Can someone help me out can someone tell me why
The reason am confused, the reason am so low
This war of peace and my heart won't stop
If that's the way then am sitting down
And the pain of sin is real insane
But whose to blame is my freaking name
Am done being on the floor
It was cold but now it's warm
And am done seeking applauds
It was fun but now it's odd I swear am sober
I swear to God am freaking sober
Am done being on the floor
It was cold but now it's warm
And am done seeking applauds
It was fun but now it's odd I swear am sober
I swear to God am freaking sober
And ohhoooo
I've learned to grow
And I now I know-oo yeah
Without you I'll fall
And ohhoooo
I've learned to grow
And I now I know-oo yeah
Without you I'll fall
