The Drive

The Drive was an offensive series in the fourth quarter of the 1986 AFC Championship Game played on January 11, 1987, at Cleveland Municipal Stadium between the Denver Broncos and Cleveland Browns. Broncos quarterback John Elway, in a span of 5 minutes and 2 seconds, led his team 98 yards in 15 plays to tie the game with 37 seconds left in regulation. Denver won the game in overtime by making a 33-yard field goal, pulling off a 23–20 win over the Cleveland Browns. The 98-yard drive ranks as pro football's prototypical clutch performance. My friends keep saying that Iu0027m burning inside,
Say I need to cool off,
Say all things heal with time.
But how much longer till these feelings subside?
Cuz my world spins all day,
But timeu0027s frozen all night

Oh baby, listen, yeah you know that I tried,
Now my mindu0027s all torn up
Hey, all things heal with time.
No, Iu0027m too far gone now to keep up this fight.
Oh, I'm breaking away,
Oh, I'm loving the ride

Baby, baby, wave goodbye
Donu0027t bother talking cuz itu0027s just a lie
Donu0027t try to call me cuz I cut the line,
Iu0027m over it, Iu0027m over it

Baby, baby, wave goodbye
Donu0027t bother talking cuz itu0027s just a lie
Donu0027t try to call me cuz I cut the line,
Iu0027m over it, Iu0027m over it

My friends keep telling me to take their advice,
Say I need to slow down,
Say all things heal with time
I see the way out, a way into the light,
Cuz thereu0027s no more time left
Iu0027ve made up my mind

Baby, baby, wave goodbye
Donu0027t bother talking cuz itu0027s just a lie
Donu0027t try to call me cuz I cut the line,
Iu0027m over it, Iu0027m over you

Baby, baby, wave goodbye
Donu0027t bother talking cuz itu0027s just a lie
Donu0027t try to call me cuz I cut the line,
Iu0027m over it, Iu0027m over you

Iu0027m so sorry
My broken bones
Iu0027m turning in
To radio

Iu0027m in too deep
I canu0027t let go
Iu0027m turning in
To radio

Iu0027m so sorry
Iu0027m over it,
Iu0027m over you
