Kincade

Kincade was an English band that was formed in 1972. In that year, they had their hit single, "Dreams are Ten a Penny", but the band itself did not exist at the time. The song was written by John Carter and his wife Gill. Carter also sang all the vocals and played the guitar on the record. The song was released by the British record producer on his Penny Farthing Records label. Although the record was unsuccessful in the UK, it reached the #2 in Germany, spent six months on the charts there, and sold a million copies. more »

So tired I can barely keep my eyes Open
I still got an hour on the road coming
Should have never strayed so far from Home
But I don't know how else to keep The hope

My open wounds are bleeding,
And it covers the floor
All I hear is weeping
I can't do this no more
My open wounds are too deep to fix
I cant stop the leaking, don't think I'll live

My open wounds are bleeding
And it covers the floor
All I hear is weeping
I can't do this no more
My open wounds are too deep to fix
I cant stop the leaking, I don't think I'll live

The suns on the horizon
I think I might go blind
I've been up for thirty hours
About to shut my eyes
The fogs too dense, it's too heavy
All these turns in the road are getting Kinda sketchy

I don't know how to continue
Ive run out of energy
I've done all I can
You've gotten the best of me
Cant grit my teeth and bear, so I slip
Seems like I don't care
I just lost my grip

Foot too hard on the gas sharp turns ahead
I cant see the road signs through the fogged up glass
Back wheels slid out there's no time to react
I try to take control but my moment has past

One final attempt, to steer us in the Right direction
Green text sent
I guess I lost connection
But I see the lights on the cell tower
Just confused cause my phone got Power

My open wounds are bleeding
And it covers the floor
All I hear is weeping
I can't do this no more
My open wounds are too deep to fix
I cant stop the leaking, I don't think I'll live

My open wounds are bleeding,
And it covers the floor
All I hear is weeping
I can't do this no more
My open wounds are too deep to fix
I cant stop the leaking, I don't think I'll live

Spun out, hit the guard rail
Flipped three times oh well
Not even conscious enough to
Try and scream and yell
Hit the ground upside down
And then the air bags failed
Don't think I'll be alive to even tell This tale

Don't think I'll be alive to drown in My sorrows
Don't think I'll be alive to even see Tomorrow
Took a turn for the worst
Can't recover crashed and burned Now my body and mind are one with The dirt

Flashing lights
Wailing sirens
Too bright
I feel it siphon

Let go
Give up
Too clear
It's done

My open wounds are bleeding
And it covers the floor
All I hear is weeping
I can't do this no more
My open wounds are too deep to fix
I cant stop the leaking, I don't think I'll live

My open wounds are bleeding
And it covers the floor
All I hear is weeping
I can't do this no more
My open wounds are too deep to fix
I cant stop the leaking, I don't think I'll live
