Chick Webb & His Orchestra was a prominent jazz and swing band during the 1930s and 1940s. Led by drummer Chick Webb, they were one of the most popular and influential big bands of their time. The group's energetic performances and Webb's exceptional drumming skills helped pave the way for the swing era. Despite Webb's premature death in 1939, his orchestra continued to perform under various leaders before disbanding in 1942. more »
