Glass Pear

Glass Pear is a singer and songwriter, born Yestyn Griffiths. The Welsh singer is the younger brother of recording artist Jem. After co-writing songs for her first album, Finally Woken, and the follow-up, Down To Earth, Griffiths sent a 4 track demo to the DJ Nic Harcourt of KCRW. Harcourt's early support for the tracks "Last Day Of Your Life" and "Vultures" was instrumental in getting the music heard. In late 2008, the producers of 90210 chose "Last Day Of Your Life" to end the first episode of the new series and Grey's Anatomy used the track in early 2009. Described by Dave Matthews' A&R as being like "Keane but with balls", Griffiths cites Jeff Buckley and The Beatles as influences, while echoes of early Radiohead and Coldplay are heard throughout Glass Pe… more »

This is my moment
This is my time
When the clock strikes
I'll open my eyes

Drowning in colours
Flooding my sights
What's the point of being human
If I'm not alive?

Twisting in a maze is there no way out?
Reaching for a light but I don't know how
Stranded at a height sleeping through this life
When you turn around to find

Waking the coma in your soul
Cause if you don't try this time
Then you'll never know

Out of the shadows into the new
It's not enough for me is it enough for you?

Twisting in a maze is there no way out?
Reaching for a light but I don't know how
Stranded at a height sleeping through this life
When you turn around to find

As the clock strikes
I open my eyes

Waking the coma in your soul
Cause if you dont try this time
Then you'll never know

Drowning in colours
Flooding our eyes
What's the point of being human
If we're not alive?

Twisting in a maze is there no way out?
Reaching for a light but I don't know how
Stranded at a height sleeping through this life
When you turn around, when you feel alive

Tossing on the back of an ocean wave
Searching in your heart for another way
Stranded on a high sleeping through this life
When you turn around to find
When the clock strikes
We'll open our eyes
