Now, some believe in God
And some believe in gold
And some still believe in witchcraft
Least that's what I'm told
Now, I believe in luck
'Cause that's what I've plenty of
And I believe in women
And sharin' lots of love

It's such a beautiful madness
It's bigger than life
It's such a beautiful madness (beautiful madness)
It's bigger than life (bigger than life)

That's why they call it "snakes and ladders"
You watch 'em rise, you watch 'em fall
It's such a beautiful madness (beautiful madness)
It's bigger than life (bigger than life)

Welcome to the new Dark Ages
Take off your hat and stay a while
And who would have thought it would become a crime
Turnin' straw into gold and water into wine?
Go ahead, fly into my web
Let me take you for a ride
And come on darlin', step right up
It's all goin' wrong inside

It's such a beautiful madness
It's bigger than life
It's such a beautiful madness (beautiful madness)
It's bigger than life (bigger than life)

That's why they call it "snakes and ladders"
You watch 'em rise, you watch 'em fall
It's such a beautiful madness (beautiful madness)
Now, I don't like to blow my own horn but

Oh, it looks like I'm in too deep
And I can't sleep
Now maybe it's depression, maybe it's the dope
Chances are it's a little bit of both

It's such a beautiful madness
It's bigger than life (hmm)
It's such a beautiful madness (beautiful madness)
It's bigger than life (it's bigger than life)
That's why they call it "snakes and ladders"
You watch 'em rise, you watch 'em fall
It's such a beautiful madness (beautiful madness)
It's bigger than life
Bigger than life (bigger than life)
