Modest Mouse

Modest Mouse is an American indie rock band who were formed in 1993 in Issaquah, Washington, by singer/lyricist/guitarist Isaac Brock, drummer Jeremiah Green, and bassist Eric Judy. Since their 1996 debut album, This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About, their lineup has centered around Brock, Green and Judy. We got roooked to believe
We had more tricks up our sleeves
As the king of the mountain when it blows sky high
You just don't get to see

We get tossed, we get turned
While the ants intercept underground with the worms
We sweat it out, evaporation occurs
The rain from the clouds really stirs up the dirt

We are walking and running and we are moving around
Well, we're so very active we make hummingbirds proud
With our talking', talking', chatter, chatter, lips, throat, smile
We make such a noise that the Blue Angels are proud
With our poking and prying, we hauled your secrets all out
There was so much garbage, make a rummage sale proud
Here I'm walking and running and we are moving around
Well, we're so really active we make hummingbirds proud, with our

There are some thoughts
That should never
Form to words inside our throats
That form inside our
There are some thoughts
That should never
Form to words inside our throats
That form inside our

We got lost, unconcerned
Handed every single lesson but we never seem to learn
We got rooked to believe we had tricks up an empty sleeve
Feeling rested we deserved it, laid our backs on the ground
Use our hands to shade our eyes, the ocean rejoins the clouds
With our talkin', talking', chatter, chatter, lips, throat, smile
We made such a noise it blew the windows all out
With our poking and prodding, we hauled the secrets all out
There was so much crazy drama it stood up and took a bow
Here I'm walking and running and we are moving around
Well, we're so very active we make hummingbirds proud

With our talking', talkin', chatter, chatter, lips, throat, smile
We made such a noise that volcanoes are proud
Well we're walking and running and we are moving around
Well we're so very active we make beehives proud

There are some thoughts
That should never
Form to words inside our throats
There are some thoughts
That should never
Form to words inside our throats
