Maybe I'm mistaken
But I seem to remember from a time long ago
Somewhere in the city in the dead of night
And a voice came on the radio
Brother you said you'd read the book of the dead
You know someday you're gonna have to let go
You said life is a dream, not worth the trouble, it seems

I said you shouldn't worry, slow down, what's the hurry?
You shouldn't take it so seriously
You feel forsaken, soon you will awaken
Wake up to a brighter day
Why don't you see that money is a weepin'
Why don't you take it so naturally?
You feel forsaken, soon you will awaken
Wake up to a brighter day

Maybe I was wrong but I was bleeding in the hall
With my soul washed away
I was bleeding in a hall and I was tired of it all
But I was waiting on a better day
Lost in a dream over the colorful scheme
Like a run in a room
He said life is a dream, not worth the trouble, it seems

He said you shouldn't worry, slow down, what's the hurry?
You shouldn't take it so seriously
You feel forsaken, soon you will awaken
Wake up to a brighter day
Why don't you see that money is a weepin'
Why don't you take it so naturally?
You feel forsaken, soon you will awaken
Wake up to a brighter day

He said life is a dream, not worth the trouble, it seems

I said you shouldn't worry, slow down, what's the hurry?
You shouldn't take it so seriously
You feel forsaken, soon you will awaken
Wake up to a brighter day
Why don't you see that money is a weepin'
Why don't you take it so naturally?
You feel forsaken, soon you will awaken
Wake up to a brighter day
