One earth's most gentle human beings
I love to watch him widle on his cane
Each morning you could find him on his front porch
Just living all his memories up in vain
Spent most his life in some old local factory
A place he didn't matter you could say
We were just the children of his nieces
But he’d follow us around on saturdays
As we played dinosaurs
He’d make slingshots bows and swords
Seem like it was the perfect getaway
They'll never make his life into a movie
You'll never see his name on east broadway
But if gods a god at all
Next time they’ll stand him tall

By the time that I was grown he was an old man
And he’d gave away more then he ever made
Kentucky Best cigars would keep him company
And he’d sit and smoke them quite in the shade
He always like to tell us about his wild days
Its funny how they never seem to be
Sometimes I’d go visit just to listen
I never really needed much to say
Then he’d tell me goodbye
Shake my hand and wink his eye
Seem like he always wanted me to stay
And they'll never make his life into a movie
