Belly

Belly was an alternative rock band formed in 1991 by former Throwing Muses members Tanya Donelly (who was also in The Breeders) and Fred Abong. The band was based in Boston, Massachusetts, though all of the original members grew up in Newport, Rhode Island. The band consisted of Donelly on lead vocals and guitar, Abong on bass, Tom Gorman on guitar, and Chris Gorman on drums. Tom and Chris, who were brothers, were childhood friends of Donelly's; they had previously played in the hardcore punk band Verbal Assault. On at least one tour date (in February, 1993) in Albany, NY, former Throwing Muses member, Leslie Langston, lent a hand on bass. more »

Yeah, yeah
Woah, woah, woah, uh, look
My ex in here jelly, grew up watchin' Belly
I'm in here with Belly, ain't shit you can
Try to tell me (You're filthy, ANMLS)
Woah, woah

They tryna see me, that's a scary sight (woah)
Niggas ain't homies, they parasites (no)
I'm goin' up, Mr. Fahrenheit (yeah)
I'm goin' up, I ain't scared of heights (brrt)
Take the flight (yeah)
I live my life like it's paradise (woah)
I go legendary every night (woah)
I go legendary every night (every night)
She say (she say) I think (I think)
You the one, I'm like you very right (very right)
You niggas depressed like I'm paralyzed (woah)
I can count on my hands who I care about

They tryna see me, that's a scary sight (woah)
Niggas ain't homies, they parasites (no)
I'm goin' up, Mr. Fahrenheit (yeah)
I'm goin' up, I ain't scared of heights
They tryna see me, that's a scary sight (woah)
Niggas ain't homies, they parasites (no)
I'm goin' up, Mr. Fahrenheit (yeah)
I'm goin' up, I ain't scared of heights

Look, hair Berry White (ooh, yeah)
Stackin' birds 'til they Larry height
I'm runnin' every light plus I'm high every night
Like I don't got a fear of heights
I cannot f*ck with you scary types
Bottom feeders, parasites
I almost died just to cherish life
Nearly perished twice for this paradise
F*ck livin' ordinary, I'd rather die legendary
I did some shit that I know wasn't right
But deep down I know it was necessary (you know)
I'll rest when I'm dead and buried
Put my bed in the cemetery
One man military
I found out the love was just temporary
My life is a movie, hereditary

They tryna see me, that's a scary sight (woah)
Niggas ain't homies, they parasites (no)
I'm goin' up, Mr. Fahrenheit (yeah)
I'm goin' up, I ain't scared of heights (brrt)
Take the flight (yeah)
I live my life like it's paradise (woah)
I go legendary every night (woah)
I go legendary every night (every night)
She say (she say) I think (I think)
You the one, I'm like you very right (very right)
You niggas depressed like I'm paralyzed (woah)
I can count on my hands who I care about
