ALBUM"The Nobodies" is a song by American rock band Marilyn Manson. It is the third and final single from their fourth studio album, "Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death)".

INSPIRATIONThe song was inspired by the infamous incident that took place in Columbine High School in 1999, where two students opened fire and killed 13 people before taking their own lives. Marilyn Manson has stated that the song is about the 'nobodies' in society who desperately want fame or attention.

CENSORSHIPMarilyn Manson was inaccurately blamed for influencing the shooters at Columbine High School. Due to this controversy, "The Nobodies" faced significant radio censorship and the band's music was banned from several outlets.
