Miles Davis Nonet

The Miles Davis Nonet was a cooperative musical project led by American jazz trumpeter Miles Davis in the late 1940s. The group consisted of nine musicians and played a style of music that blended elements of bebop and cool jazz. The Nonet is best known for their recordings from 1949 and 1950, which showcased Davis' innovative approach to improvisation and his use of arranged compositions.
