The song was the first of four hits on the American dance charts for the 49ers. The single spent two weeks at number-one and a total of eleven weeks on the dance chart. The song reached number 3 on the UK Singles Chart. It also peaked at number 3 in Finland and Greece, number 4 in Ireland, number 5 in Denmark, number 6 in Spain and Switzerland, number 7 in France and Germany, and number 8 in Sweden. Outside Europe, "Touch Me" peaked at number 15 in New Zealand and number 18 in Australia. The Italo house song samples Aretha Franklin's "Rock-A-Lott" and Alisha Warren's "Touch Me".more »
