Written by Raymond Vincy and Henri Martinet, this Christmas song was originally performed by Rossi in Richard Pottier's film Destins. It is currently the best-selling single of all time in France, with over 5,711,000 units sold. The song peaked at #6 on December 28, 1991 (the French SNEP Singles Chart was created on November 4, 1984), and was ranked every year under several labels, including Disques Pathé, Fifty Five and M6 Interactions (every label is charted separately).
