The Glenn Miller Army Air Force Orchestra was a musical ensemble led by American musician and bandleader Glenn Miller during World War II. Formed in 1943, the orchestra primarily performed for military personnel as part of the United States Army Air Forces. Their music combined elements of big band swing and jazz, and they achieved great popularity with hits such as "In the Mood" and "Moonlight Serenade."
