"A Little Good News" is a song recorded by Canadian country music artist Anne Murray. It was released in September 1983 as the lead single from the album of the same name. The song was written by Tommy Rocco, Charlie Black, and Rory Bourke and was Anne Murray's seventh #1 hit on the Billboard country chart. In the United States, the single hit #1 Country (lasting a total of 20 weeks on the Country chart overall), #10 Adult Contemporary, and #74 Pop. The song also appears on Murray's 2007 album Anne Murray Duets: Friends & Legends, performed as a duet with the Indigo Girls. This song was used as the opening theme to the 1984-2000 CJON-DT program of the same name (later renamed NTV.ca), but has since been removed from reruns.
