The single was relatively well promoted on radio, TV shows, and magazine interviews, while also going into Europe to do some promotion. The single initially hit a midweek position of number 4, but during the week, it fell down the chart to finish up at number 7—with Christina Aguilera, Ainslie Henderson, and Kelly Rowland in front of Melanie C. "Here It Comes Again" sold around 19,000 copies in its first week, and by the end of its chart run, it had sold around 40,890 copies and over 500,000 copies worldwide.
