John Felix Anthony Cena Jr. (; born April 23, 1977) is an American professional wrestler, actor, rapper, and television host. He is currently signed to WWE, where he appears for both the Raw and SmackDown brands. Cena gained fame in the WWE in the early 2000s, portraying a trash-talking rapper. This success promoted Cena to act as the company's franchise player and its public face, which later prompted a transition to his current character, which he describes as a "goody-two shoes Superman". Under his current incarnation, Cena has attained mainstream fame, and has won 25 championships throughout his career, with 16 reigns as a world champion.
