Intro: There are so many stories... About the North Pole. But, there’s one more Christmas tale, That you oughta know... 1st Verse: Holly worked at Santa’s shop, Wrapping Christmas presents. Then one day, she heard a noise, That didn’t sound too pleasant. Smoke was pourin’ out of a toy, Just like a corn cob pipe. So she spoke to the other elves, To see if they could make it right. Chorus: Oh, poor Holly the Elf, Just a sittin’ all by herself. She sure has troubles, that won’t go away. But if you think she’s just an elf… You better keep it to yourself. Cause we all know that she’ll save Christmas Day. 2nd Verse: One by one, the elves shook their heads. And didn’t know what to do. So Holly decided she’d fix the toy, And make it just like new. Later on, back at the shop, Way up at the ol’ North Pole. The handy elf, she set to work, Determined to make it go. Chorus: Oh, poor Holly the Elf, Just a sittin’ all by herself. She sure has troubles, that won’t go away. But if you think she’s just an elf… You better keep it to yourself. Cause we all know that she’ll save Christmas Day. 3rd Verse: Twas the night before...Christmas Day, When all the world was bright. And everywhere that people roamed, Everything was decked in white. Elves were busy making toys, To send to one and all. But little Holly was on her way, To speak with Santa Claus. Chorus: Oh, poor Holly the Elf, Just a sittin’ all by herself. She sure has troubles, that won’t go away. But if you think she’s just an elf… You better keep it to yourself. Cause we all know that she’ll save Christmas Day. 4th Verse: She showed Mr. Kringle the tiny toy, The one she had tried to fix. And told him all about the special things, She had done for it. She asked for his advice, On what she should do. But Santa just smiled and said to her, It looked like new. Bridge: He told her that before she came, There’d been something on his mind. He had combed his list, And checked it twice, Yet, something wasn’t right. He seems he was missing a special gift, To give to one last child. So when poor Holly heard the news, It made the dear elf smile. Chorus: Oh, happy Holly the Elf, No longer by herself. It looks like everything’s gonna be okay. But if you think she’s just an elf... You better keep it to yourself. Cause we all know that she saved Christmas Day. Yeah, if you think she’s just an elf... Better keep it to yourself. Cause we all know that she saved Christmas Day! Yeah, if you think she’s just an elf... Better keep it to yourself. Cause we all know...that she saved Christ...mas...Day!
