The airhead heiress wrote a blog that someone stole her little dog,
had ‘em running crazy down at CNN.
The cokehead actor could not score but rehabs have revolving doors-
my, do they get cranky when you check them in.
They’re stupid and they’re lame, I really miss John Wayne.
If you ever want to go, drop a line and let me know,
I’d love to tag along, but I’m already gone.

That clinic in the old town square, they pay to kill those babies there-
those mothers with their collagen and skull tattoos.
And somewhere on the long slide down, the freak show became the town,
I’d love to stay and help - I don’t know what to do.
There’s really no defense, we’ve strayed so far from home.
It’s suicide by decadence, (please refer to Rome)
So many things are wrong, but I’m already gone.

In empty churches I have heard the pastor fiddle with the word,
“A dose of modern tolerance should pack ‘em in.”
And the Hollywood elite confess they feed your children hopelessness-
my, were they surprised when you got wise to them.
It’s go on with the show, corporations run it all.
How were you the last to know, everybody dropped the ball.
I’m leaving you this song. I’m already gone.

Now if we wake up from our trance, I think that we have one last chance-
throw all those TV’s in the deep blue sea.
But the hardest part- it makes me grieve -is there’s nothing you believe;
let’s part as friends, come and say goodbye to me.
You sell off all my things, there’s really no big loss.
I’ll just take the three I need, Old Glory and a Cross
and this tattered Book of John, I’m already gone.
