My dad came out, began to play

It's a dream I have, now and then
Me and my dad playing songs again
But when wake, I know

We'd play a while, then talk a bit
"How's the weather, the wife and kids"
Just another laid-back summers day
With nothing but time coming our way

But in that time, I'm home again

It seems so real, then it all sinks in
But I don't mind... being fooled again

What I remember most were his gentle ways
How when he spoke, he had something to say
And the way he was, made me who I am
