Electric Guitar

An electric guitar is a guitar that requires external amplification in order to be heard at typical performance volumes, unlike a standard acoustic guitar. It uses one or more pickups to convert the vibration of its strings into electrical signals, which ultimately are reproduced as sound by loudspeakers. The sound is sometimes shaped or electronically altered to achieve different timbres or tonal qualities from that of an acoustic guitar via amplifier settings or knobs on the guitar. Often, this is done through the use of effects such as reverb, distortion and "overdrive"; the latter is considered to be a key element of electric blues guitar music and jazz and rock guitar playing. Designs also exist combining attributes of the electric and acoustic guitars: … more »

I don't wanna talk shit
But if I burn someone it's gon' be some wok shit
And if I make a trial it's gon' be some mock shit
'Cause everything I do is art on a canvas, that's smock shit
I don't care if people listen
I've got glitter and I know I'm gonna glisten
Ears or the eyes or the straight down pissin'
Long as people know they don't know what they're missin'
Livin' in the kitchen
Or just crying in the shower
Self-care or self-empowered
I don't know the difference
Wishin' I was downtown kissin'
Someone who is not in remission
Now you'll be trippin
Lookin' up that definition
And it's just some sad shit wistin'
Walking back home while it's mistin'
Always the condition
Every time I'm down they bring it up, say

I don't wanna go
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna leave and lose my soul
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna be where everybody knows
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna lie and lose my soul
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna die, yeah, yeah, yeah

Living on the earth
Everything you see
From the grass to the water to the leaves to the trees
And all the creatures in between
Seem inseparable from your psyche
Tryna keep it high key
Every single song
Somewhere in the tone I know I went wrong
Because it ain't about me
Everything involves every single living creature around me
Say that he's found me
Somewhere in the ground bound down by a crown
Seems pretty unreal but I'm down to surround
Every person in every country town
Try every herb and then try to brew it
Make close friends with every animal and druid
Still keep it fluid
Even though I'm awkward as hell
Every hip-hop pop beat's got that swell
Is it honest? I can never tell
Like a fucking white-washed ghost of a shell
I talk and get Scarlett, starstruck
Every time I'm drunk I'm out at a bar, f*ck everybody else
And it ain't that late
Not the star of the play
So I skip the soliloquy, move to the plot
Used to be a nice little tale, now it's not
Left to rot in the dirt deep down, never rose
Longer than three days
Dying slowly alone
She was playing violin outside every day, every night
Till she couldn't lift her arms up to write
Had her art carved out like a map on her mind
Didn't have much time
Didn't quite know it
Underneath a government that wasn't health-focused
Only on certain aspects if you noticed
But I don't wanna rake in Reagan promoters or his voters
Though I know they're too old to listen
They would probably say she oughta stay in the kitchen
Maybe some gave a shit about women
Maybe the gays as long as they didn't see it
Everything's okay with your health if you conceal it
But no one wanted anyone hurt directly
Forget about gays, girls, poor, and check, please
Couldn't aid then, can't aid anymore
Reaganomics dropping pennies for the poor
But the girl on the street
She was found by a priest
Taken in, given bed and a feast
For a single night of joy she slept in sheets
And she prayed to the sky that the joy wouldn't cease
So the days moved on but the violin didn't
She was told she'd work better in the kitchen
But not as a joke; it was real
As real as the disease she would slowly start to feel
Given from God to mother to violinist
Started by a hedonist somewhere within a village
Horrible in veritas, but they chose mendacium
And reminded her that prayer is the ultimate serum
They requested that she go to the hall of the savior to see him
Didn't wanna be him
Just wanted to know what was killing her slowly
With her last words on the back of a piece that she never got finished
But the violin sings still

I don't wanna go
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna lie and lose my soul
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna be where everybody knows
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna leave and lose my soul
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna die, yeah, yeah, yeah
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna lie and lose my soul
I just wanna know
I just wanna know
Why I never had any control
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna lie and lose my soul
I don't wanna go
I don't wanna go
But nobody will cry, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
