So I was driving
I needed some things
Like some food and an oil change
Some shit like that
Watching a homeless man pan handling
While he standing on the side of a block
And I don't know what kinda life this man has been handling
And got me curious if he's been smoking some rocks
Although a part of me is feeling for him
The other saying just ignore him
Gotta focus on myself or I'll end up in his spot
So I just sit and meditate and pray for him some better days
And hopefully he finds his way or at least find him some socks
Now as I'm watching contemplating analyze this situation
A brand new corvette pulls up and comes to a stop
Like man what a funny thought the both of them 10 feet apart
It made me think back to a song by Kendrick Lamar

There's probably some successful people who's had it harder
Who's taking all their hardships and made it some wine from water
But just like how did they do it

People on the corner or those hero's in the methadone

And got me kinda pissed off at this idea we call money

But finally that light turned green

Instead I turned right past them while they doing the same old routine
And now it was time for me to spend some of mine on some shit I don't need
So there I went right past that kfc
Pulled into valvoline but man these thoughts were still eating at me
Like I couldn't get em past me
And all this shit made me feel nasty
Like how the f*ck am I suppose to see some shit like that and just be happy
Must be some empath shit
Like I don't even know these men but man it felt like I did
Made me wanna repent all my sins
And had me thinking of ways we could redo how we live
Like holy f*ck I can't take it no more and right as I was bout to lose my shit
A calm voice said pull up to that bay door
Pulled in and got asked in different ways if I could pay more
For things that they could give me
I told them nah but thank you really
So I exchanged em for that oil change
And on my way they sent me
But as I pulled out I knew I'd be going past that corner
Went and got some chicken for myself but nothing extra on that order
So now I was the one pulling up to that light
I looked over to the homeless man and felt a fear building in my spine
This man was covered in facial tattoos
They were demonic with upside down crosses
That had me worried what he'd do
But time was ticking so I know I had to choose
It was either be a hypocrite or do
Something to help out the dude
So I grabbed my wallet there were three ones and a twenty
I pulled out the 3 ones cause it was the least that I could do
Rolled down my window half way and called for the man
He was sitting now looking defeated with head hanging down
With sign in hand
So when he looked up and saw me gesturing with money
He jumped up with an expression that had me feeling kinda funny
But when his eyes met mine I saw they were bluer than the sky
I felt them pierce right to my heart like he wasn't a normal guy
All of a sudden I was stuck looking in them like I was paralyzed
Staring up at this man like I had known him my whole life
He smiled big and grabbed the money gently
Then he put it to me simply
He said thank you sir now I definitely have enough to eat
And I could hear it in his voice he meant that from somewhere deep
I told him no problem and wish I could do more
He told me god bless you as I drove off from that light
Now nothing sitting right with
Strangest feelings I've ever known
Had me crying the whole way home
